A SIMPLE WAY TO MANAGE EVIDENCE - Evisense is designed to capture key events in a child’s journey throughout their education. Capture photos, videos, audio recordings or observations that will help "Tell the Story" of a child's time in education.

EASY TO USE - Recording evidence is an important function within education and is a crucial part of the assessment process. It needs to be easy to record and even easier to view the information in different ways.

Evisense is designed to do this. A quick and easy capturing process, the ability to link evidence to your assessments and multiple ways to view evidence - by group, student, subject or ability.

SAFE AND SECURE - Security is extremely important to us and we have taken all the precautions necessary. Child safety is a core fundamental in schools and other educational establishments. We have taken all the necessary steps to keep your data safe. Our security measures include encrypting evidence before it is uploaded, all data is encrypted on our servers. We use child protection lists, device security, access restrictions and can also provide audit trails for individual users. We are fully compliant with the data protection laws within the countries in which we operate.

EASY TO SHARE - Share evidence with parents and students easily. Recording and storing evidence is the main purpose of Evisense. Schools can choose how they use the evidence including sharing it with parents. This gives parents a glimpse into what their child is working on at school. They can see what their child has done in the day/week/term and read the teacher's supporting comments. This extends learning outside of the classroom. Evisense can be used to record more than just academic achievements. Staff can take photos or videos of events around the school so these can be shared with the parents. Reports can also be produced for students and groups of students from the Evisense website.

"Before we started using Evisense, finding a specific piece of evidence was challenging to say the least! Now we have a consistent way to gather evidence of learning across our school."
- Lindsay Ireland, Class Teacher, Firpark School

"Using Evisense teachers can literally 'see' students making progress captured as videos and photos. This evidence of learning informs our formal assessment and future planning."

Evisense version 1.0.6
Updated At: 2020-05-19
Changes: May 19, 2020 Version 1.0.6 EVERYTHING! By everything, we mean EVERYTHING! We have literally taken the previous app, shredded it, shredded it again, thrown it in the recycling (go us) and started all over again! You were all very vocal about the bits you didn’t like in the old Evisense app **cough** camera roll access **cough** and we can only thank you for taking time to tell us. So, what does the new app bring I hear you ask? Well, to start off with, as soon as you open the app you are going to be asked to set a PIN! BOOM! No more typing email and passwords, you can type your 4-digit pin and get cracking. “What about if we share a device?” I hear you screaming! Well, you can set PINs by user and swap between users. That’s right, you can use this even if you only have one iPad in the school. Next, we know you are going to want to take a bunch of photos and videos very quickly and in the moment. Go ahead and tap that big camera icon at the bottom in the middle and get snapping in our New Quick Camera mode. All those videos, photos and audio files will get uploaded in the background and you can deal with them later via the untagged post section in the app and on the website. All marvellous stuff really. What else have we managed to get in here for you? Well now you can add and view those Additional Aspects (at last!), you can edit posts, trim videos and last but certainly not least, once you have set a PIN, you can log in even if the device is not on the internet, so you can use the Quick Camera mode, grab all you photos and videos and then have them upload when you get internet again! All of these changes are sandwiched between a fresh new interface which looks less like a Year 4 Computing project and backend that does things just that bit faster. What it means for you is you can do more with your Evisense much, much faster! You are going to want to show it off to your parents (not your parents obviously, the parents of the students). And don’t forget, if you are brave enough, you can even get parents to comment and share their own evidence!
